JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the direct supervision of maintenance employees. Responsible for plant maintenance and engineering systems such as preventive and demand maintenance, calibrations system for ISO 9001 and RC14001, and PSM Mechanical Integrity. Responsible for managing the maintenance budget, spare parts inventory, and maintenance expenses and overtime. Responsible for the execution of maintenance related capital projects from design to commissioning. Responsible for participating in CACTUS behavioral safety process along with all other HSES initiatives and ensuring direct reports participate in the process as well.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the maintaining of all process related equipment and site facilities.
- Responsible for managing the maintenance portion of the site budget.
- Responsible for the execution of maintenance related capital projects. Capital project management including design, AR submission, installation, and commissioning.
- Participate on project, operational, and/or cross-functional teams as required to support the business plan.
- Responsible for the execution of the mechanical integrity program which evaluates equipment for mechanical integrity issues with the establishment of plans to manage replacement of equipment.
- Assigns tasks and/or projects to maintenance employees.
- Administering programs such as preventive and demand maintenance, calibration system for ISO 9001, RC14001 and PSM Mechanical Integrity to meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and controlling maintenance expenses and overtime.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of spare parts
- Training of maintenance employees.
- Responsible for HSES training of maintenance employees and adherence to appropriate codes and standards.
- Ensure participation of maintenance employees in the CACTUS behavioral safety process.
- Participate in the CACTUS Barrier Removal Team.
- Promote good housekeeping standards in maintenance shop and maintenance storage area. Ensure maintenance employees practice good housekeeping after completing a project or task.
- Participate as needed in injury and incident investigations.
- Ensure adherence to appropriate site procedures such as Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis, and Pre-Startup Safety Review.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years related experience in the chemical industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Working knowledge of personal computer software packages
- DCS, Six Sigma, and/or 5S experience beneficial
- Supervisory experience in a union environment desirable
- Ability to plan, communicate, and execute construction and maintenance projects
- Experience with Behavior Based Safety processes a plus.
- Ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong safety background
