Due to tremendous growth we have an exciting new position - Continuous Improvement Manager – based out of our corporate office in Fort Worth, TX.  In this position you will direct and lead the implementation and ongoing execution of Companies Continuous Improvement which includes Lean, Six Sigma, and Quality initiatives throughout the entire company with the goal to deliver superior operating results and to further enhance our customer’s total quality experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide active design, leadership, and advocacy of a continuous improvement culture.
  • Utilizing Value Stream Mapping, develop the company Lean Strategy.
  • Facilitate teams of employees engaged in lean activity planning and execution of these plans.
  • Develop clearly defined deliverables for Continuous Improvement Initiatives in accordance with the company’s scorecard system.
  • Serve as the “champion" for all Continuous Improvement activities, working with leadership across the business enterprise to train, communicate, standardize, sustain and facilitate the implementation of Lean.
  • Identify training and develop appropriate programs to educate employees in the principles of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing.
  • Define and lead Kaizen events and follow-up to ensure proper progress and the continuity of the continuous improvement efforts toward the optimization and removal of waste.
  • Assist all locations through best practice sharing and the implementation of Continuous Improvement within their operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May include responsibilities to directly supervise and manage the daily activities of one or more employees.  Responsibilities do include the indirect supervision, coordination, and management of multiple employees as they are engaged in Lean activities.  Also responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the companies lean activities.  Will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employee; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent hands-on training required.
  • 5 plus years of manufacturing experience in a managerial role, preferable, Operations, Quality or Engineering. Other field will be considered based on individual accomplishments.
  • Must have a demonstrated history of successfully leading and facilitating changes that involve all levels of employees with measurable results.
  • Prior lean and Six Sigma certification and experience in implementation of lean manufacturing is a must. ISO 9001 certification a plus
  • Applicants must be proficient in identifying areas of improvement, planning for, and leading Kaizen events, value stream mapping, single piece flow, error proofing, visual workplace, standard work, set-up reduction and be familiar with SPC and Six-Sigma implementation.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and pass the knowledge along to others in classroom and practical experience.
  • Proven ability to lead associates through coaching and mentoring.
  • Candidates should be highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change and be adept at communicating with all levels to get everyone on board.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Spanish Bilingual desired
  • Track record of successful project management and team experience.
  • Personal computer skills in a networked environment, Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access) required.
  • Ability to travel initially up to 75% of the time to our 12 facilities.
