Our client is Ireland's leading seafood specialists and distributors, marketing a wide range of seafood products in both national and international markets. They are now seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to join their team.
This is a prime opportunity to work for the Irish Exporter of the year. Offering training as well as excellent career progression prospects, if you are a quality professional with a solid understanding of BRC and HACCP guidelines, this is the role for you.
As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you will have responsibility for the quality of production at our client’s factory. You will also be tasked with checking the day-to-day paperwork associated with all intakes, production and dispatches.
Working with the small quality team, you will identify issues with processes throughout the business and implement changes to improve them. Additionally, you will handle any queries from customers and retailers as well as dealing with any audits from competent authorities and retailers.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Experience in a quality role gained within the food industry in a production environment
- Extensive knowledge of BRC and HACCP guidelines
- An excellent working knowledge of MS Office
As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you will have superb communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, you must be able to work on your own initiative and carry significant responsibility without stress or negativity.
A qualification or certification in a relevant quality assurance subject would be an advantage to your application.
