This position will ensure the daily management of the Quality Assurance Department, develop, implement and monitor company policies and procedures relating to Food Safety, Food Security, and Quality Assurance Programs. Responsible for SSOP, GMP, SOP’s, HACCP/Recall and Traceback Programs and support all QA activities related to maintaining AGF and governmental food safety standard In addition, this person will work with management in various QA related projects.
Job Duties
Performs inspection and testing activities through stages of manufacturing process to ensure that establishment and regulatory standard are met.
Enforce and monitor current company GMP, SSOP, and HACCP guidelines. Follow through with correction of deficiencies.
Has authority and is responsible for hold/release of products.
Reviews production records to ensure all paperwork are complete and accurate on daily basis; correct deviations in a timely manner to minimize loss and avoid non-compliance products are shipped.
Conduct and perform training activities related to food quality and food safety (ie. HACCP, GMPs, Allergen).
Assists in training, development and supervision of new staff.
Assists in training of Managerial staff and line workers in food safety, quality assurance theory and practice, processes and procedures.
Plan, develop, execute, track and analyze food safety, sanitation and quality programs to ensure that they meet current and future customer expectations, company standards and regulatory requirements and recommend solutions for continued improvement.
Assure company operations meet all requirements related to ongoing SQF Certification. Document, implement and maintain all records related to audit. Take appropriate action when necessary to ensure compliance.
Oversee monitoring, verification, and validation of all activities to ensure that in-coming and out-going products meet safety and quality standards; provide leadership to drive improvements in key quality attributes.
Manage the microbiological finished product testing and environmental monitoring programs.
Provide training of quality assurance and food safety processes to employees and management team and provide direct reports with leadership and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance.
Develops and implements sanitation programs; establish schedules and methods for sanitation services to include Master and Daily Cleaning Schedules.
Ensure sanitation procedures and practices are in compliance with federal, state and local laws and codes, as well as Company policies and SQF standards which govern safety, sanitation and labor.
Prepares all sanitation related documentation, equipment and facilities for third party audits to ensure passing with satisfactory or better ratings.
Routinely prepares facilities for external visitations.
Minimum Requirements-
5+ year’s management capacity within food industry and knowledge of regulatory requirements. Must be SQF, HACCP, AIB certified and have experience facilitating food safety/quality training, allergen control, pest control, sanitation, food security, good laboratory practices.
2+ years QA experience in food industry

Must be able to speak and write English proficiently. Must have excellent written skills. Additional language skills preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office with moderate to high level of computer literacy
Proficient with modern day office procedures, standards and protocol The ability to quickly learn Target inventory system
The ability to maintain a strong sense of urgency throughout the work day.
The ability to multi-task, communicate and work effectively within a fast paced team environment
Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally, must be able to work entire shift on feet.
