CSA Soliance is seeking a Laboratory Support Engineer experienced in servicing equipment in a GxP compliant laboratory based out of our Los Angeles, CA site (Thousand Oaks, CA)!  We will consider local candidates as well as candidates willing to self-relocate to the Los Angeles area. 

Position Description:
Laboratory Support Engineers responsibilities for this position include the performance of validation, preventative maintenance, calibration and repair tasks on a variety of laboratory instruments and equipment along with associated facility and computer systems.  This work is performed predominantly onsite at chemical and biological laboratory client facilities.  Responsibilities also include the development and implementation of validation, preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair programs for client and internal use.  Programs consist of documented procedures, templates, part lists and training modules as well as custom spreadsheets for compiling and analyzing technical data.  Program leaders provide expertise support for other SCIL engineers and technicians.  Laboratory Support Engineers may also provide method development and validation consulting to CSA Soliance clients as assigned.  This position communicates directly with the client.
 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • 5+ years of experience working in a GxP compliant laboratory
  • 3+ years of experience servicing equipment in a GxP compliant laboratory (at least as a portion of responsibility).
  • Experience in developing and executing validation protocols for laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
  • Experience performing repair and maintenance tasks in a regulated laboratory environment. 
  • Experience with chromatography, spectroscopy or bioanalytical instrumentation is preferred.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to quickly learn and understand new technologies and client quality requirements
  •  Strict attention to detail, good communication, organization and strong technical writing skills are essential to the position.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong computer hardware and software skills. 
  • The candidate must be a strong self-starter and possess the ability to work well individually or in a team setting.
  • Up to 20% travel will be required.
