Enterprise Program Portfolio Manager
Ernst & Young currently has a career opportunity for an Enterprise Program Portfolio Manager in their Atlanta, GA location.
This position is located in Atlanta, GA. Candidates must be able to commute to and/or relocate on their own to this location. There is no relocation assistance available.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Enterprise Program Portfolio Manager you will be working close together with our global Top Programs to ensure that cross-program interdependencies are properly understood and associated risks are being minimized.
- Develop solid understanding about inbound and outbound dependencies between top programs
- Propose options to minimize x-program interdependencies
- Ensure sanity of dependencies is appropriately monitored and associated risks are minimized and well controlled
- Work with your peers in EPM to ensure a holistic view on x-program interdependencies
- Support creation of key information to be used with various stakeholder groups
- Act as an information broker to ensure maximum visibility around top programs
- Moderate conflicts between programs, leveraging proven workshop techniques
- Work with Program Managers to ensure key EPM deliverables exist on every top program
- Understand cumulative impact on end-users and operations and propose schedule adjustments to minimize risks
- Ability to conceptualize complex problems and propose simple and practical low risk solutions
- Ability to conceptualize and distill key information and communicate in a simple to understand, highly visual format
- Ability to moderate inter-program conflicts and to drive resolution
- Work with Top Programs to ensure critical Enterprise Portfolio Management deliverables are being maintained
Job Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven ability in analysis, planning, risk assessment and issue management, all pertaining to large scale global transformation programs
- Strong delivery experience, preferably on global projects
- Integrated change management skills, in particular the ability to assess and influence integrated change management plans
- Ability to galvanize work streams to address planning issues and potentially re-plan
- Proven ability to manage inter-program dependencies
- Ability to operate at highest levels within the IT and program/portfolio governance
- Politically astute
- Ability to operate across multiple programs, business areas, and portfolios
- Strong influencing and workshop leadership skills
- Excellent understanding of business transformation methodology
- Ability to work effectively with diverse people from different cultural backgrounds in a highly virtual environment
- Ability to understand the details without losing focus on the big picture
- High degree of tolerance for ambiguity and ability to make sound decisions based on incomplete information
- Good understanding of "what is really important" and stay focused on these topics
- Good judgment how to keep things practical and simple
- English language skills - Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel skills
