The hemp foods manufacturer has been awarded Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification.
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods & Oils, a global leader in hemp foods, announced today that their state-of-the-art facility in Winnipeg has added Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) recognition to their growing list of external certifications and quality standards. Certified by AIB International, Manitoba Harvest joins a select few food manufacturers with HACCP accreditation.
HACCP is an internationally recognized safety system created to prevent, reduce and eliminate potential hazards. The system covers three potential food safety areas: biological hazards (micro-organisms), chemical hazards (substances/molecules), and physical hazards (items not normally found in food).
